Embark on a captivating journey through Mumbai's rich heritage with this day tour that takes you from the ancient caves of Elephanta Island to the historical treasures of the Prince of Wales Museum. Your adventure begins with a scenic ferry ride from the Gateway of India to Elephanta Island, located in Mumbai Harbour. As you approach the island, you'll be greeted by lush greenery and the promise of ancient wonders. The island is home to the Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site that dates back to the 5th to 7th centuries. As you wander through the caves, you'll be transported back in time, gaining a deeper appreciation for India's rich cultural and religious history.
After your visit to Elephanta Island, return to the mainland and head to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, commonly known as the Prince of Wales Museum. This iconic museum, housed in a stunning Indo- Saracenic building, offers a comprehensive look at India's diverse history and heritage. This tour includes lunch at the famous Gaylord Restaurant. The trip will conclude with a drive through where you experience the breath-taking beauty of Mumbai's coastline. - All tour and activity prices are in Euros (€), and changes or cancellations must be made by 8 May 2025 (end of day Mumbai time). No refunds will be granted after this date.
- Cancellation without penalty is only possible in case of "force majeure"; otherwise, no refund will be provided.
- Prices are calculated on the basis of minimum participants. Tours maybe cancelled if minimums are not met.
