Cosimo Accoto

Tech philosopher, research affiliate and fellow at MIT in Boston, adjunct professor (UNIMORE), Cosimo Accoto is the author of an original and highly appreciated philosophical trilogy on digital civilisation: Il mondo in sintesi (2022), Il mondo ex machina (2019), Il mondo dato (2017), the latter translated into multiple languages and, most recently, also into Chinese.

He has published in various journals including Economia & Management (SDA Bocconi School of Management), Harvard Business Review Italia, Sistemi & Impresa, Aspenia, MIT Sloan Management Review Italia.

He developed his professional and managerial skills in the data industry and then in strategic management consultancy.

His techno-cultural research interests are many: philosophy of code and programming, sensor and software society, robotic automation and generative artificial intelligence, blockchain and cryptosystems, quantum computation and synthetic biology, extended, synthetic and immersive realities.

A frequent guest on national television and radio programs dedicated to cultural and strategic innovation, he is a speaker, contributor and discussant in executive and leadership events organised by The European House Ambrosetti, Aspen Institute Italia, Harvard Business Review Italia.

He is also advisor, ambassador and instructor for several startups including Feel (gov-tech), Open Search Network (data-people), SostenabItaly (digital-green).
